Scope of Work
The project involves comprehensive modernization of generator systems, including:
- Fire Resistance Upgrade: Upgrading interior partitions of the Generator room (Building 30) to meet a 2-hour fire resistance rating as per NFPA 110-2025. This includes constructing new shaft wall assemblies, sealing penetrations, and replacing an exterior door.
- Structural Enhancements: Constructing new concrete equipment pads for generators and supply pumps at Building T-1, installing new fencing and foundations, and implementing seismic anchorage for new equipment and bracing for suspended utilities.
- Fuel Oil Systems: Detailed work on facility fuel oil systems, encompassing diesel fuel oil and unheated burner fuel oil tanks, piping (including double containment), automatic digital continuous leak detection systems, and tank fluid level monitoring and alarm systems.
- General Construction: Adherence to specifications covering general requirements, demolition, concrete, metals, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAC, electrical (including engine generators), communications, earthwork, and exterior improvements.
