Scope of Work
This contract requires the acquisition and installation of a complete Fiber-to-the-Desk (FTTD) solution on the second floor of Building 1109. The solution must provide secure network connectivity from the second-floor patch panel to all specified endpoints, including offices, conference rooms, and furniture locations. The contractor will also be responsible for recommending and procuring VTC speaker solutions (preferably ceiling speakers) and ensuring compatibility with existing Cisco Room Kit-based VTC systems and government-provided displays and cameras.
Key Requirements
The FTTD network must utilize OM4 multi-mode fiber optic cabling, with each desk receiving 4 strands (2 active, 2 dark spares) terminating at the desk and IDF. Cabling can be run on walls using Panduit or J-hooks, with visible cabling acceptable if inspectable. Installation must be secure, organized, maintainable, and include lockable enclosures and Class 5 GSA approved IPS containers for central patch panels. All materials must be Trade Act Agreement (TAA) compliant. The contractor is responsible for fiber procurement, while the Government will provide network electronics and SFP transceivers. Deliverables include comprehensive documentation, maintenance manuals, warranty information, and "as-built" drawings prepared by a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).
