Quick Summary

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Nevada State Office, is soliciting proposals for a 2026 Fire Prevention Campaign. This effort aims to develop and execute an engaging, behavior-changing fire prevention and education campaign across Nevada to reduce human-caused wildfires and promote firefighter recruitment. This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. Proposals are due February 6, 2026, by 1700 PST.

Opportunity Overview

The objective is to support the BLM Nevada State Fire & Aviation program by executing a comprehensive fire prevention and education campaign for the 2026 wildfire season. The campaign seeks to reduce human-caused wildfire ignitions, increase public awareness of fire prevention, and promote recruitment for seasonal firefighting positions, specifically targeting audiences aged 18-35.

Scope of Work

The contractor shall provide all resources for an advertising campaign, including:

  • Developing and recording video Public Service Announcements (PSAs) for social media (Instagram, Facebook Reels, YouTube) and gas pump TVs, covering topics like target shooting safety, OHV safety, roadside fire safety, debris burning, trailer towing, and wildland firefighter recruitment.
  • Creating content for social media (Facebook, Instagram) and marketing PSAs across multiple platforms: streaming radio/TV, billboards, social media, gas pumps, and sporting events (rodeos).
  • Branding NevadaFireInfo.org as the primary source for fire information.
  • Showcasing local knowledge of Nevada culture and landscapes in content. BLM Nevada will provide footage and branding; the contractor is responsible for scriptwriting with BLM approval.
