- Demolishing, removing, and disposing of existing Armstrong heaters.
- Providing and installing new heat exchangers, steam piping, valves, fittings, condensate piping, drain piping, and relief valve piping.
- Running electrical connections to new Steam Control Valves.
- All work must comply with specifications, drawings, and applicable local and VA building codes.
- Temporary hot water systems are required for all four buildings (1, 2, 24, and 29) during the replacement process and must be provided by the contractor. Performance requirements for mobile heat exchangers are 38 GPM for buildings 1, 2, and 29, and 75 GPM for building 24. Temporary fencing will be required around staging areas.
- New PRV assemblies are required; existing ones are not to be reused.
