• Outages must be scheduled with at least two weeks' notice.

• Project Management: Weekly project meetings are required due to working in an active healthcare environment. A supervisory representative with authority must be on-site at all times.

• Safety: Interim life safety measures and an infection control plan (including hard barriers, air movement/filtration, sound control) must be designed and implemented.

• Security: Contractor must adhere to VA Handbook 6500 and VA Handbook 6500.6 Appendix B. The IT system security impact is rated High. A Contractor Security Control Assessment (CSCA) is required within 30 days of award and renewed annually; work is not permitted until completed. Keys must be signed out and returned. VA contractor badges must be worn and visible at all times.

• Coordination: High level of coordination with VA staff is necessary.

• References: Provided drawings and documentation are for reference only; contractor must field-check all aspects. Final contractor-submitted drawings must be originals based on field checks.
