Scope of Work
The requirement is for the supply, inside delivery, installation, and full assembly of specific behavioral health furniture items for the Northport VA Medical Center, Buildings 64 and 65. Items include:
- Seating: Two 3-seat sofas, two 2-seat love seats, fifteen single chairs.
- Tables: Two end tables, one coffee table, one dining/activity table.
All furniture must meet stringent salient characteristics, including:
- Seating: Antimicrobial, water-resistant, healthcare-grade fabric; metal seat frame or steel-reinforced structure; minimum weight capacities (chairs 350 lbs, love seats 500 lbs, sofas 750 lbs); weighted for stability; double-stitched seams; seamless seat front; no exposed staples/fasteners; non-removable seat cushions; tamper-resistant legs/glides; BIFMA X5.4-2020 Certified; field-replaceable arm caps; non-skid glides.
- Tables: Solid surface tops with waterfall edges; moisture impervious, easy-to-clean surfaces; anti-microbial finish on exposed wood; heat, scratch, and mar resistant; AWI standards for joinery; SCS Indoor Air Quality standards; minimum weights (end table 45 lbs, coffee table 110 lbs); concealed fasteners; tamper-resistant, non-removable glides; contribute to LEED Credits.
- Warranty: A minimum 10-year warranty for construction and finish is required for all furniture.
- Delivery: Inside delivery, installation, and full assembly are required, with vendor responsibility for debris removal. Domestic (United States) manufactured content is preferred.
