Questions & Answers / Clarifications

This document is a Pre-Award RFI Log for the B401 Tenant #6 Fit-Out project, providing responses to vendor inquiries.

• VESDA System Modifications: Modifications to the existing VESDA systems are anticipated to accommodate new slab-to-slab demising partitions. Specific design documents (20128F B401 VESDA INT DESIGN pdf and 24083F B401 VESDA 2ND FLR RECONFIG.pdf) will be provided.
• Door 228 STC Rating: Door 228 is not STC rated but will require the security hardware outlined in SHW-07, excluding acoustic door seals.
• Escorts for Non-Badged Personnel: Non-badged contractor support staff requiring One-Day Access will need to be escorted by the General Contractor (GC). Individuals requiring repeated access should be processed for badged access.
• Contractor Badging Process: Badges will be provided after an NCIC check via an Area A Access Form, followed by HQ processing, fingerprinting, and ISMS case creation. Applicants must provide two valid forms of ID for fingerprinting.
• Building Hours: Work will generally occur during normal building hours. An After Hours Work Request Form is required for evenings or weekends.
• Delivery Drivers: Delivery drivers needing site access must undergo an NCIC check and obtain a badge. Day passes are available for up to three days; longer durations require a full badge packet.
• RF Film: Information on RF Shielding and Privacy Film (Signal Defense Films - SD1000/1010 Surface-Applied Film) will be provided.
• Optional Form 336: This form, referenced in Section B.1 CLINS, will be issued shortly.
• Attachment D (Bonds): Attachment D (Performance Bond SF-25/ Payment Bond SF-25A) was referenced but not included and will be sent via email.
• Virginia Contractor License: A Virginia construction license is required for this contract and must be obtained before award. Clarification was sought regarding the due date for preliminary screening factors and the acceptance of a subcontractor's license in the interim.
• Bid Bond: A photocopy of the signed bid bond will be acceptable for submission.
