Scope of Work
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) requires comprehensive boatyard services for its 52-foot research vessel, the R/V Gannet (R5202). Services include haul-out, cleaning, blocking, storage, and launching, along with extensive maintenance and repair tasks. Key work areas involve bottom paint overcoating, propulsor recoating, inspection and service of through-hulls, seacocks, transducers, anodes, and cutlass bearings. Engine, generator, Fifi, extinguisher, tender engine, alarm, and HVAC systems require servicing. Additional tasks include window reinstallation, helm pump repair, bridle provision, hawse hole creation, stowage bin fabrication, fan inspection, installation of new displays/tachometers, electrical switching, windshield shades, bimini top replacement, cushion repair, and spare parts provision. All work must be performed at the contractor's facility, which must be located within a 50-statute mile radius of Savannah, GA. The contractor is responsible for the vessel's safety from arrival to acceptance. Work must meet or exceed ABYC and USCG (Subchapter T) requirements.
