Scope of Work
The contractor will provide comprehensive shipyard services for the NOAA Research Vessel Gannet (hull number R5202) during FY26. All work must be performed at the contractor's facility, which must be located within a 200-statute mile radius of Savannah, GA, and within a 200-statute mile radius of the vessel's homeport. Services include:
- Hauling, cleaning, blocking, storing, and launching the vessel.
- Overcoating bottom paint and recoating propulsors.
- Inspecting and servicing through-hulls, seacocks, transducers, anodes, cutlass bearings, engines, generators, and fire suppression systems.
- Servicing the tender engine and HVAC system.
- Replacing windows, bimini top fabric, and seat cushions.
- Providing spare sea strainer baskets, revising aft draft marks, reattaching an ultrasonic transducer, creating a stowage bin, installing windshield shades, providing a bridle and creating hawse holes, and installing a 208 to 240 VAC selector switch. All work must meet or exceed ABYC and USCG (Subchapter T) requirements, with welding performed by certified welders.

A site visit is strongly encouraged. The Service Contract Labor Standards (DOL Wage Number 2015-4491, Revision 32, dated December 3, 2025) apply. Contractors must provide evidence meeting the NOAA Sexual Assault and Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response Policy upon contract award.
