To replace an aging and corroded Burnham boiler at the Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge with a high-efficiency combination condensing boiler.

• Remove and dispose of the existing Burnham non-condensing boiler.

• Install a new high-efficiency combination condensing boiler (e.g., NTI TRX model).

• Include all necessary parts, materials, drive time, and labor.

• Upgrade associated system components and piping as required.

• The new boiler must have a stainless steel heat exchanger and be designed for space heating, domestic hot water, and service to a hydronic floor heat system.

• The installation must be suitable for tight spaces and hard water conditions.

• Flush the hydronic system to remove debris from the old cast iron boiler, which could damage the new boiler's warranty.

• The contractor is responsible for supplying all materials, equipment, tools, and labor.

• The government will provide access to the work site, on-site coordination, and guidance.

• Location: Red Rock Lakes NWR Bunkhouse, 27505 S Valley Rd, Lima, MT 59739. The area is remote with limited amenities.

• Period: April 15, 2026, to May 15, 2026.

• Work hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., excluding Federal Holidays, unless otherwise approved.

• Protection of Government Property: The contractor must take special care to protect government property and restore any damaged areas to their original condition.

• Emergency Contact: The contractor must provide contact information for all employees working on the Refuge.

• Government Furnished Information: The Technical Coordinator will provide guidance and access to the work site. Space will be available for materials storage and a roll-away dumpster.
