• Verify that the well is operating as intended upon completion.

• Provide operational and maintenance training to CERC maintenance staff.

• Provide a digital device containing video of the completed scope.

• Complete testing of valves, motor, and pump to verify proper production.

• Place of Performance: USGS, Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC), 4200 New Haven Road, Columbia, MO 65201.

• Period of Performance: 30 days from Notice-to-Proceed (NTP).

• Warranty: 12-month warranty on all materials and workmanship from the date of Government acceptance.

• Scheduling: Submit a construction schedule within five (5) calendar days of NTP. Coordinate work to minimize interference with government activities and facility operations.

• Site Visit: Contractors are responsible for visiting the worksite to verify measurements and ascertain conditions.

• Utility Interruptions: Notify Facility Manager and USGS Technical Liaison at least 5 business days in advance of any utility interruptions. Power disruptions limited to 24 hours per instance. Coordinate power deenergizing/re-energizing with the USGS Technical Liaison and Utility.

• Compliance: Adhere to all National, Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

• Drawings: Contractor shall produce all necessary shop and construction drawings and make them available to the USGS Technical Liaison.

• Materials: Furnish commercially available products of reputable manufacturers.

• Security: Building access to be coordinated with the Facility Manager or USGS Technical Liaison.

• Occupancy: Government will occupy the facility during construction; contractor shall not restrict traffic and shall coordinate to minimize conflicts.

• Employees: Ensure fully qualified work personnel are available throughout the period of performance.

• Licenses/Permits: Obtain all necessary licenses and permits.

• Accident Prevention: Take precautions to prevent fires or injury.

• Indemnity: Contractor indemnifies the Government against liability claims arising from their work.

To recondition and update Well No. 1, which is the primary source of research water for the Columbia Environmental Research Center (CERC). The well has experienced a significant decrease in specific capacity, leading to motor failures and loss of research abilities due to biological buildup.
