Scope of Work
This requirement is for the procurement and delivery of bagged block and crushed ice (40-50 lbs per bag), which must be consumable, frozen solid, and made from potable water. Key requirements include:
- Ice Production Facility: Must be on the approved Military Veterinary/Food Services list and inspected by the Fort Benning VET Clinic every three years.
- Contractor Location: The contractor and/or ice production facility must be located within a 100-mile radius or three hours of Fort Benning, GA.
- Delivery: Deliveries are required within 72 hours of order notification (including weekends/holidays), between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday. Ice must be delivered on pallets (40W x 48L) to Building 9058, 6881 Ivey Road, Fort Benning, GA 31905. Each load requires 64,000 lbs of block ice or 81,600 lbs of crushed ice.
- Reporting: An end-of-month ordering report reflecting poundage, delivery dates, and money spent is required.
- Rotation: Awarded contractors will rotate monthly for BPA calls. Failure to comply with the SOW or delivery schedule may result in forfeiture of a month's calls or termination.
