Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/PAE C3BM) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for the CRC RRSVS TCRR program. This RFI seeks information on current or future voice/data communications suites within Tactical C2, specifically for a Tactical C2 Remote Radio (TCRR) system. The TCRR is expected to provide a remote suite of TOC mission-capable radios, integrating with the TOC-L MR2 interface for secure voice and data communications during battle management activities. Responses are due March 2, 2026.
Scope of Work
The Government aims to develop a TCRR system with capabilities mirroring the radio subsystems of TOC-L MR2. This includes providing TOC-L hardware and integration to the Remote Radio interface. The TCRR should support mobilizing equipment to forward battle management areas and integrate with CRC sensors, utilizing the same transit case system as TOC-L. The system must use self-encrypting L3Harris radios (PRC-160 and PRC-167) with NSA Type 1 encryption and interface with CRC-provided long-haul connections (COMSATCOM, MILSATCOM, 4G/5G, commercial internet) via a KG-175 encryptor. Voice/data switching and user interfaces should be consistent with REDCOM systems in TOC-L.
Clarifications indicate the Government is requesting information on both hardware and radios, as well as a software-defined system for communication management. The TCRR integrator will be required to purchase radios from L3Harris and will be solely responsible for all integration labor and activities, including collaboration with L3Harris and BAH. This effort is separate from the CBC2+ opportunity.
