Scope of Work
The contractor will provide telecommunication support services for the transmission and reception of high-definition (HD) broadcast signal feeds to and from the CDC Harkin Global Communication Center and major media outlets. This includes:
- Establishing broadcast-quality video connectivity for live or recorded national media interviews.
- Providing two (2) independent HD-SDI outbound and two (2) independent HD-SDI inbound signal paths.
- Continuous 24/7 monitoring and maintenance of broadcast connections.
- Supplying all necessary transmitting and receiving equipment, including encoding equipment, to transmit and receive the 3G HD-SDI signal.
- Installation of equipment, with flexibility for completion within 3 to 30 business days, provided there is overlap with existing video services.
- Submitting a detailed equipment list prior to installation.
- Complying with CDC and federal cybersecurity requirements, including routing through a Trusted Internet Connection (TIC).
- Ensuring all contractor employees complete mandatory CDC training and sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
- The requirement is for continuing existing Broadcast Transmission services, utilizing existing ATT Fiber and internal CDC campus fiber paths; no new fiber installation is required. The CDC will supply video processing equipment, patchbays, and connections to the vendor-supplied encoder.
