Quick Summary

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is soliciting for FLANGE, PIPE components, specifically blind flanges, for use in crucial shipboard systems. This is a rated order certified for national defense use, requiring strict adherence to the Defense Priorities and Allocations System regulation (15 CFR 700). The material is designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS material (Level I, Scope of Certification, or Quality Assured) due to the high probability of severe consequences from failure. Proposals are due by March 12, 2026.

Scope of Work

The requirement is for complete blind flanges in accordance with Warren Pumps Parts List PL-D-4527 piece no.127. Material must be MIL-C-24723, alloy M30C, meeting ASTM-A494 requirements. Extensive testing and certification are mandated, including weldability tests and non-destructive tests for weld repairs. Welding and brazing processes must comply with specific Navy standards (S9074-AR-GIB-010A/278, 0900-LP-001-7000, or S9074-AQ-GIB-010/248), with procedures and qualification data requiring prior approval.
