- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force is soliciting quotes for a Gas Chromatography with Mass Spectrometry (GCMS) System for the Aerospace Fuels Laboratory at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL. This system is required for analyzing unknown trace contaminants and Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME) content in fuels. This is a full and open competition under a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. Quotes are due April 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM EST.
Scope of Work
The requirement includes the procurement of a GCMS system configured for liquid sample analysis, supporting capillary columns, with an oven capable of ramping at 35 °C/min or higher up to 200 °C (max 430 °C). Key features include a split/splitless inlet with electronic pressure control, an autosampler for at least 16 samples, and support for both helium and hydrogen carrier gases. The system must be 120V single phase, 60 Hz, and include a single quadrupole mass spectrometer for electron ionization, capable of simultaneous single-ion and scan mass spectra acquisition. All necessary vacuum pumps, a computer with control software, licenses, and NIST mass spectral libraries are also required. Additionally, on-site training for up to 3 people (at least 1 day) and on-site installation and validation by qualified vendor staff are mandatory.
