Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for fire alarm system testing and inspection services at the VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville, IL. The acquisition is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) verified by the SBA. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price type.

• Perform semi-annual visual tests on all fire alarm devices per NFPA 72, Table 14.3.1.

• Test fire and smoke dampers using certified technicians, adhering to NFPA 25, NFPA 72, and NFPA 101 standards.

• Conduct inspections of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems (wet and dry pipe) per NFPA 25, including annual, semi-annual, and quarterly tests as specified.

• Perform VRLA Battery/Charger inspections semi-annually and load tests every three years per NFPA 72.

• Conduct five-year standpipe flow and hydrostatic tests per NFPA 25.

• Provide documentation for all tested devices, including deficiencies found.

• Ensure all contractor personnel comply with VA facility requirements, including drug-free workplace, no smoking, and no weapons policies.

• All contractor personnel must complete privacy training and possess a 10-hour OSHA card.

• Adhere to VHA Directive 1192 regarding influenza vaccination or masking for healthcare personnel.

• The contract will have a 12-month base period and four (4) 12-month option years.
