Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide a turnkey lease solution for seven (7) HAZMAT storage containers, each with minimum dimensions of 8’ width x 9’ height x 20’ length. The scope includes transportation, delivery, professional installation, and final removal from NNSY. The contractor is also responsible for all supervision, labor, materials, and equipment required to keep the containers fully operational and compliant throughout the lease period.
Specific technical requirements for the containers include:
- General: Minimum 850-gallon sump capacity, year-round 70-degree temperature maintenance (heating and A/C), and compliance with NFPA and OSHA for fire suppression systems.
- Electrical: 120/240V, 100A, 3-wire, single-phase UL-listed load center (NEMA 3R), with specific requirements for exterior camlock connections, circuit breakers, and transformers, complying with NFPA 70.
- Enclosure: Hurricane-proof (110 MPH winds), water-resistant, outward-swinging lockable doors, Energy Star rated heat pumps, steel grate flooring draining to the sump, and specific labeling.
- Maintenance: Contractor responsibility for equipment replacement/repair, fire suppression system servicing, door repair, and quarterly A/C filter changes.
- Relocation: Units must be designed for safe lifting (overhead and forklift) with specified attachments, stiffening, and clear weight markings. Lifting sketches and rigging diagrams are required.
