Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, and materials to remove existing and install new condenser and evaporator units for 13 walk-in freezer and cooler units in Bldg. 202. Key requirements include:
- Installation of new condenser units on the roof of Bldg. 202 and EEV-driven evaporators inside the units.
- Installation of heat trace at all drain lines and new insulated copper refrigerant line sets.
- Application of 4-inch spray-applied closed cell foam insulation on specified roof areas and sealing of all cooler/freezer roof and wall penetrations.
- Recovery and disposal of existing refrigerant in accordance with EPA regulations, and disposal of all removed equipment.
- Compliance with International Building Code (IBC), National Electrical Code (NEC), ASHRAE, VA Specifications/Standards, and local facility requirements.
- Submission of a safety plan prior to work commencement, with OSHA 30-hour for competent persons and OSHA 10-hour for other workers.
- New units must meet or exceed the performance of existing equipment, as detailed in Attachment A Condenser-Evaporator List. A 3-year warranty on equipment and workmanship is required.
