Scope of Work
The contractor shall perform and provide comprehensive laboratory testing services. Key requirements include:
- General clinical and microbiology laboratory testing.
- Provision of required collection supply items.
- Specimen handling guidance, analytical testing, and consultation.
- Testing of various specimens (blood, urine, stool, etc.).
- Writing test results and reporting, with delivery via website, email, or fax.
- Laboratory sampling primarily at US Navy Air Station of Sigonella facilities (NAS 1 and/or NAS 2), with occasional sampling at the Contractor's lab.
- Chest X-ray services may be performed by a third-party laboratory.
- Maintenance of quality assurance (QA) standards, including ISO 9001/2015 compliance and ACCREDIA accreditation.
- Establishment of a Quality Plan and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Personnel performing sampling must be qualified according to Italian Law.
- Compliance with the latest legislation for all testing.
- Handling of Personal Identifiable Information (PII) as confidential.
- Proper labeling of all collected laboratory specimens.
- Courier services for specimen collection from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
