Special Requirements & Notes
Contractors must adhere to AFI 84-103 and TOs 1-1-8, 1-1-691, and establish a quality system conforming to ISO 9001-2008 or SAE AS9100B. Repairs must meet museum-quality cosmetic standards, not airworthiness. Chemical paint removers, water blasting, and sand blasting are not authorized; only spot sanding with HEPA sanders or hand-held blocks. The contractor assumes strict liability for any damage.
