Scope of Work
The contractor shall Engineer, Furnish, Install, and Test (EFI&T) telecommunications infrastructure. This includes:
- CAT6A Network Drops: Installation of 48 CAT6A network drops, including 48-port modular patch panels in Comm Room 006 and Room 002, and specific cable runs to Rooms 002 and 005. This involves wall penetrations, sleeves, J-hooks, and fire stopping.
- Fiber Optic Cables: Installation of two 24-strand Aqua MM fiber optic cables from Comm Room 006 to Comm Room 202 and Comm Room 120, utilizing existing pathways. This includes providing and installing LC cassettes, terminating MM cables, and installing new wall-mounted Fiber Optic Distribution Panels (FODPs).
Key Requirements & Standards
All work must adhere to the 96th Communications Squadron Cyber Infrastructure Standards and Installation Specifications (CISIS), dated January 2024. This document details technical requirements for cabling, pathways, equipment, installation methods, approved materials, grounding, bonding, labeling, and security.
- Testing: 100% verification acceptance testing for multi-mode optical fibers is required, following OFSTP-14, OFSTP-7, TIA-568-C.3, and TIA-526-7 standards. Test equipment must be calibrated within one year.
- Deliverables: Required deliverables include ISP/OSP copper/fiber test reports and as-built drawings in .PDF format.
