Scope of Work

Additional work includes applying nonskid around existing surfaces (approx. 2,180 SF), build-up weld repair (approx. 10 SF), and replacing specific components such as drain trough gratings (12 EA), mounting supports (48 EA), deck edge coaming (10 SF), chafing bars (15 LF), fender stowage foundations (5 SF), securing staples (6 EA), safety net securing latch foundations (20 EA), and ensign staff stowage foundations (2 EA). The contractor is responsible for determining actual square footage. Prior to work, washdown nozzles and deck drains must be inspected and tested, with results reported.

Eligibility & Evaluation
- Eligibility: Restricted to firms with a current U.S. Navy Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) or Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR). Firms without an MSRA/ABR must apply, a process that can take up to a year. Offerors must also be authorized to operate and do business in Japan.
- Evaluation: Proposals will be evaluated on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis. Technical acceptability is determined by evaluating proposed labor hours and material costs to ensure understanding and ability to complete the scope. Proposals must meet minimum requirements; exceeding them will not result in additional credit. Offerors must be determined responsible under FAR 9.104.
