Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, and materials to demolish a 2-piece structure (a hull component approx. 76,000 lbs and a hatch approx. 12,000 lbs) located at Building 47, Naval Station Newport, RI. Key tasks include:
- Developing and obtaining approval for a project-specific Mitigation Plan (addressing fire/environmental risks, work footprint, emergency preparedness).
- Protecting existing infrastructure during demolition.
- Transporting all scrap metal and waste to licensed disposal/recycling facilities.
- Securing necessary demolition and transportation permits.
- Providing documentation of disposal, including certified weight tickets and sale receipts.
- Sorting and segregating recyclable metals, and disposing of non-recyclable materials.
- Performing site cleanup to return the footprint to its original condition.
- Ensuring personnel are trained and equipped according to regulations.
- Complying with security, badging, access regulations for NAVSTA Newport, and adhering to all local conduct and safety instructions.
- Developing and maintaining an OPSEC program.

Evaluation & Submission
