Scope of Work
The selected contractor will be responsible for fabricating and delivering eight custom, conservation-grade frames for specific paintings. Key tasks include providing and installing 6mm thick Optium Museum Acrylic glazing (or equivalent), fitting the paintings into the frames on-site at the Library of Congress, and attaching appropriate hanging and security hardware. The contractor must also provide material samples for aesthetic and conservation review, deliver detailed frame dimension drawings, and produce a project plan and schedule. All components must have at least 30 days to off-gas before delivery. Required key personnel include a Principal with a minimum of 7 years of experience and a Chief Mount Maker/Framer with at least 5 years of experience. The email subject line must include the solicitation number: 030ADV26Q0046. Submissions should consist of two separate electronic files: Volume 1 - Technical Proposal and Volume 2 - Price Proposal. The maximum email file size is 20MB. Bidders must complete Attachment J-1, the Price Schedule, with firm fixed prices for all deliverables.
