Amendment 0001 has re-opened the solicitation and extended the proposal due date. Proposals are now due by 12:00 PM Noon ET on February 26, 2026.
Scope of Work
The selected contractor will:
- Fabricate and deliver eight (8) custom, conservation-grade frames.
- Provide and install 6mm thick Optium Museum Acrylic glazing (or equivalent).
- Fit paintings into frames on-site at the Library of Congress.
- Provide and attach appropriate hanging and security hardware.
- Provide material samples for aesthetic and conservation review.
- Deliver detailed drawings of frame dimensions and assembly.
- Produce a project plan and schedule.
- Ensure all components have at least 30 days to off-gas before delivery.
Key Personnel requirements include a Principal (minimum 7 years experience) and a Chief Mount Maker/Framer (minimum 5 years experience).
