Key installations include a physical access control system, intrusion detection system, mass notification system, infrastructure for future closed-circuit television, connection to an energy monitoring control system, and 100% redundant heating and cooling systems. The project also covers modifications to supporting facilities such as site work, utilities, lighting, paving, and landscaping. Accessibility for individuals with disabilities will be provided, and the facility will meet DoD Minimum Antiterrorism standards and a 40-year minimum life in accordance with UFC 1-200-02. Demolition of two adjacent buildings is required.
