Scope of Work

  • Base Course: 2,500 tons of 3/4", 143.6 PCF, +80 CBR material, conforming to ASTM D75/D75M and HAFB TTP Base Course Specs. Deliveries must include certified waybills and delivery tickets. Laboratory test reports proving material compliance are required with bids.
  • Concrete: Approximately 2,100 Cubic Yards of wet concrete mix, Type V Cement, 5,000-PSI rated (650 psi flex strength, 3" slump, 6% AC).
  • Asphalt & Prime Coat: Approximately 350 Tons of P401 Hot Mix Asphalt (150.3 PCF) and 380 Gallons of Asphalt Prime Coat Oil, including prime coat application (4 hr min. charge).

Special Requirements (Base Course)

  • Delivery Grouping: Trucks should arrive in groups to facilitate runway crossing.
  • Adverse Weather: Rescheduling within 48 hours with Project Engineer.
  • Installation Access: Contractor must adhere to HAFB security procedures, possess valid ID, and allow time for pass coordination. Government is not liable for delays due to pass issues.
  • Site Cleanliness: Contractor must clean up any mud, dirt, debris, or spills promptly.
  • Spill Reporting: Immediate reporting to CO; contractor responsible for cleanup.
  • Personnel: Contractor must provide a designated, English-fluent supervisor with decision-making authority.
  • Worker Welfare: Contractor responsible for providing food and water for workers.
