Quick Summary

Scope of Work
The project involves urgent repairs to Well #2, which is experiencing issues such as shaking shafts, noises, pitting, and excessive wear due to glacial silt. Key tasks include removing the motor and base, pulling the turbine pump set from approximately 187 feet deep, and assessing/refurbishing below-grade components like the T&C column pipe water lube and 1-1/2” water lube shaft assembly. Replacement of spider bearings and other bolts is expected. Bidders must also assess the well casing and PVC pipe for damage, including potential replacement in their bid. The vendor will re-install all components, adjust shaft clearance, remain onsite for startup, and disinfect the well and equipment in compliance with AWWA C654-03. Work must be completed within 5 days of notice to proceed and performed during park hours (7 am - 5 pm) at Yosemite Valley, behind Yosemite Lodge.
