Statement of Work (SOW)

To engage a Professional Deep Well Specialist to perform urgent repairs and rehabilitation of Well #2 in Yosemite Valley, which is experiencing issues with shaking/wobbling shafts, noises, pitting, and excessive wear due to glacial silt.

• Remove the motor and base from the well column.

• Pull the turbine pump set from approximately 187 feet depth.

• Assess and refurbish components below grade, including T&C column pipe water lube and 1-1/2” water lube shaft assembly. Replacement of spider bearings and other bolts is expected.

• Assess the well casing (187') and PVC pipe for the level transducer sounding tube for damage from age and glacial silt. Replacement of these components should be included in the bid.

• Notify the contracting officer in writing if necessary repairs exceed the purchase order amount or are not possible.

• Re-install all components and adjust the shaft to optimum impeller clearance.

• Remain onsite during startup procedures to verify water production, amperage, and shaft stability.

• Disinfect the well and equipment in compliance with AWWA C654-03 (or most recent), sections 4.4, 4.5, and 4.5.1.

• Location: Yosemite Valley, approximately 4000' elevation, behind Yosemite Lodge on an uneven, unpaved road with potential muddy conditions.

• Work Hours: Must be performed during park hours (7 am - 5 pm). No weekend or holiday work is permitted without written permission.

• Completion: Work shall be completed within 5 days of notice to proceed.

• Vendor must comply with AWWA C654-03 for disinfection.

• A 45' vehicle length restriction is in place on Highway 140.

• An NPS representative will always be onsite.

• Prior experience evaluation includes depth/capacity of wells serviced and past performance references.

• The proposal submission deadline is March 5, 2026, at 1400 PST.

• This is a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside.

• The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 221310.

• The small business size standard is $41,000,000.

• A written solicitation will not be issued; this RFQ is the only solicitation.

• Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).

• A site visit is scheduled for February 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM PT at Yosemite Valley Well No. 2. RSVP to tim_modjeski by February 17, 2026.
