Scope of Work

The contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment to repair six hoop buildings at the NCAH facility. The scope includes:

• Hoop Building H1: Replace East end cover, install new end door, patch membrane, replace weather stripping, damaged metal siding and corner covers, damaged wood blocks, and install a new gravel bed.
• Hoop Building H2: Replace damaged wood blocks, metal siding panels, and metal corner covers.
• Hoop Building H3: Remove and replace existing end and top covers, replace weather stripping, damaged metal siding panels, and metal corners.
• Hoop Building H4: Replace damaged metal wall siding panels.
• Hoop Building H5: Install a new top cover.
• Hoop Building H6: Install new saddle brackets and diagonal brace pipes for overhead door support, replace East exterior door, and damaged metal siding panels. For all buildings, the contractor must inspect and report on building straps, cables, winches, and bolts. The scope also includes providing reports on any additional repairs identified.

Key Requirements & Deliverables

• Materials: Cladding membrane must meet specific performance standards (e.g., Duraweave or equal, fire retardant, UV stabilized, 12 +/- 2 oz/sy coated weight, 340 lbs grab tensile strength). Installation must form a continuous weather-tight shell, minimize wrinkles, and be tensioned using horizontal purlins and a belt and winch lock system.
• Wage Rates: Bidders must adhere to federal prevailing wage rates for building construction in Story County, Iowa (IA20260074), including Executive Orders 13706 and 13658.
• Site Security: Strict access control, sign-in/out, contractor ID badges, and parking in designated lots are required for this limited access zone. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with COR approval needed for work outside these times.
• Warranty: A three-year warranty for workmanship and materials is required upon project completion.
• Submittals: Include a construction schedule, bi-weekly status reports, manufacturer details for materials, shop drawings, and close-out documentation (O&Ms, warranties).
