Scope of Work
This opportunity requires the complete removal and disposal of two existing steam boilers, one cooling tower, and three sets of air handler reheat coils. The contractor will then install one new steam boiler, one cooling tower, and three new reheat coils. The scope includes all necessary ancillary work such as piping, valve and insulation installation, electrical work, temperature controls, and any other items required to fully install, test, and commission the new equipment. All new controls must be BACnet compliant and compatible with the existing Seimens control system. Specific requirements detail a steel, low-pressure, forced-draft boiler with oil/gas combination burners, achieving a minimum 80% fuel-to-steam efficiency, and a one-year warranty. Reheat coils will be replaced with stainless steel units.
Contract Details
This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The estimated magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The contract will be awarded on Standard Form 1442. Work is to commence within 10 calendar days of notice to proceed and must be completed no later than July 31, 2026. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside under FAR 19.5. Bidders must comply with Federal Construction Wage Rates for Shelby County, TN (General Decision Number TN20260200).
Submission & Evaluation
