Quick Summary

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), San Francisco District, is soliciting bids for the San Joaquin/Stockton Deep Water Ship Channel (DWSC) FY26 Maintenance Dredging Project in Contra Costa, Sacramento, and San Joaquin Counties, California. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) under Full and Open Competition, with an estimated cost range of $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Bids are due May 11, 2026, at 11:30 AM PDT.

Scope of Work

The project involves maintenance dredging of the San Joaquin/Port of Stockton River DWSC. Key requirements include dredging to -35-ft MLLW plus 1 foot of paid overdepth for most reaches, and to -38.5-ft MLLW plus 1 foot of paid overdepth for the sediment trap. Dredged material is suitable for Government-furnished upland sites or Contractor-furnished beneficial reuse sites. Contractors may use either clamshell or hydraulic cutterhead dredgers (hydraulic must have a minimum 16-inch pipeline and 1,800 HP). The contractor must also provide 3rd party monitoring for fish, water quality, and hydrographic surveys, and implement a Dredging Quality Management (DQM) system. Environmental controls and placement site management are critical.
