Quick Summary
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), San Francisco District, is soliciting bids for the San Joaquin/Stockton DWSC FY26 Maintenance Dredging Project in Contra Costa, Sacramento, and San Joaquin Counties, California. This is a Full and Open Competition with an estimated cost range of $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Bids are due on May 11, 2026, at 11:30 AM PDT, with a public bid opening at 01:30 PM PDT on the same day via Microsoft Teams.
Scope of Work
The project involves maintenance dredging of the San Joaquin/Port of Stockton River Deep Water Ship Channel (DWSC) to a depth of -35-ft (MLLW) plus 1 foot of paid overdepth. The sediment trap requires dredging to -38.5-ft (MLLW) plus 1 foot of paid overdepth. All dredged material is suitable for upland sites, with potential for beneficial reuse at contractor-furnished sites. Dredging can be performed using a clamshell or hydraulic cutterhead dredger (minimum 16-inch diameter pipeline, 1,800 HP main pump engine). The contractor must hire a third party for fish monitoring, water quality monitoring, and hydrographic surveys. A Dredging Quality Management (DQM) system is required for scow monitoring and pipeline hydraulic dredge operations.
