Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To inspect, service, test, and certify Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Compressors.

• Inspect, service, test, and certify two MAKO CO. SCBA Compressors (Model No: 9400E3MSC).

• Tasks include visual inspection, verification of no unauthorized alterations, checking warning labels, inspecting purification and moisture separator chambers, inspecting alarms and shutdown controls, inspecting gauges and relief valves, and assessing optional accessories.

• Conduct annual maintenance, including performing manufacturer-recommended hourly-based maintenance, verifying fluid levels, draining crankcase and replacing oil/filters, inspecting drive belts, verifying cartridge/filter expiration dates, and lubricating parts.

• Conduct a one-hour functional performance test, including verifying operation, inter-stage pressures, alarms, shutdowns, pressure relief valves, pressure maintaining/regulator valves, and emergency stop.

• Draw and submit air samples for accredited laboratory testing of breathing air quality (Oxygen, Carbon Monoxide, Carbon Dioxide, Condensed Oil and Particulate, Water Content, VOC Content, Nitrogen, Odor).

• Ensure compressed, gaseous breathing air meets specified requirements.

• Prepare units for long-term storage if applicable.

• Certify SCBA Compressors as Ready for Issue upon completion.

• Breathing air quality must meet requirements specified in Reference 2.2.
