First Article Testing (FAT)
- Requirement: One unit of CAGE (05259) Part Number 581E001, Revision latest, must be delivered within 120 calendar days for FAT.
- Tests: Dimensional, initial and final leak tests, 18-inch free fall drop test, and form/fit check with an actual item.
- Cost: An estimated $10,000 for government testing will be added to offeror prices.
- Waiver: Offerors may request a waiver if they have previously furnished identical, accepted production articles within three years, using the same production location, facilities, processes, and subcontractors. Two prices (with and without FAT) should be submitted if a waiver is requested.
