Fit reasons
- NAICS alignment with historical contract wins in similar service areas.
- Scope strongly matches core technical capabilities and delivery model.
Risks
- Past performance thresholds may require one additional teaming partner.
- Potential clarification needed on staffing minimums before bid/no-bid.
Next steps
Validate eligibility requirements, assign capture owner, and schedule partner outreach to confirm teaming strategy before submission planning.
Quick Summary
The Department of the Army, MICC-FDO Fort Hood, has issued a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for Shock Data Recorders and Accelerometers. This Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity seeks commercial supplies of test instrumentation sensors to measure impact shock and vibration forces during Aerial Delivery (AD) for the United States Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC) Airborne and Special Operations Test Directorate (ABNSOTD) at Fort Bragg, NC. Proposals are due by March 2, 2026.
Scope of Work
The requirement is for new, commercial test instrumentation sensors and related equipment. No refurbished or used items will be accepted. Key deliverables include:
- Data Acquisition System (DAS) / SLICE6 AIR (Qty: 36): Must be <= 2"x2"x2", >= 500g shock rating, >= 10,000Hz sample rate, programmable sampling, synchronization, measure shock, angular rate, barometric pressure, GPS, time-sync for 4 DAQs, standalone recording, real-time streaming, and NIST calibration traceability.
- DAS 6 Ch Sensor (51S-MCS-16) Cable Assy (2ft) (Qty: 42 + 15% replacement): Three-channel output adapters for piezoresistive accelerometers, 2ft cable length.
- 3ch Sensor Extension Cable, 15ft (Qty: 84 + 15% replacement): Extension cables between accelerometers and adapters, 10-25ft length.
- Triaxial Piezoresistive Accelerometer (7in cable) (Qty: 84 + 15% replacement): Piezoresistive, NIST traceable, IP67 rated, 7" cable, specific excitation voltage range, thru-hole mounting, calibratable with DAQ.
- DS-4 Rack (Qty: 9): Capable of downloading a minimum of 4 DAQs simultaneously.
- Interface Device Cable Kit (Qty: 10 + 1 benchstock): Modules for DAQ to computer interface via ethernet, power supply, connectors/cables for IRIG, GPS, and daisy chaining DAQs.
