Important Notes
- Amendments: Two amendments have been issued. Amendment 0002, posted January 16, 2026, rescheduled the bid opening to January 27, 2026, revised bid schedules, and introduced "Masterworks" electronic documentation requirements.
- Registration: Prospective contractors must have an active SAM.gov registration and complete the annual Form VETS-4212.
- Environmental Assessments: Numerous reports confirm the absence of asbestos in most inspected guardrail sections. However, lead-based paint was identified in specific guardrail components on PR-123, PR-171, PR-722, PR-723, PR-725, PR-7718, PR-510, PR-14, PR-543, and PR-569, necessitating specific handling and abatement procedures in those areas. Cultural resource assessments (Section 106) generally found "no adverse effect" on historic properties.
