Statement of Work (SOW)

To procure professional paint contractor services for the preparation, removal of existing paint, and repainting of the ASDE Tower and associated shelters at Denver International Airport.

• Prepare, remove existing paint, and repaint the ASDE Tower and shelters.

• Apply Sherwin Williams Polysiloxane XLE-80 or an approved equivalent.

• Apply coatings to a 12 mil final thickness.

• Tower color: FAA AC 70/7460-1M Obstruction Marking and Lights standards (color #17875 white and #12197 aviation orange).

• Shelters color: White.

• Address potential hazards from bird feces and lead-containing materials (LCM) identified on the tower frame.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local ordinances, regulations, and requirements for Lead-Based Paint (LBP) removal, storage, transportation, and disposal.

• Use of a man lift is required; climbing/painting may require a certified Competent Tower Rescue Climber.

• Prevent overspray using tarps.

• Conduit shall remain unpainted; platform grating shall be abated and prepped for coatings.

• Coatings must meet FAA AC 70/7460-1M standards.

• Coatings must be formulated without lead, zinc chromate, or other heavy metals.

• Coatings must meet Federal Environmental Protection Act Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) guidelines.

• Work must be performed in a professional and safe manner.

• Adherence to specified SSPC standards (e.g., C-1, SP-3, SP-2) and other referenced industry standards (e.g., ASTM, OSHA, EPA).

• Location: Denver International Airport, 26705 E 68th Ave, DENVER, CO 80249.

• Projected start date: May 04, 2026.

• Contractor must be a QP-2 Contractor recognized by the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC).

• Contractor must provide all necessary safeguards, work practices, and engineering controls for health and safety.

• Isolation and containment of work areas are required.

• Air monitoring for lead exposure may be required.

• Contractor must coordinate and procure all necessary permits and authorizations.

• Contractor must supply all materials, labor, equipment, and PPE.

• Removal and disposal of all designated LBP and contaminated materials.

• Final clean-up and restoration of work areas.

• Provide shipping documents, manifests, and disposal receipts within 10 days of waste removal.
