Scope of Work
The work encompasses furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment for the Stringout Replacement at EEY, including incidental related work. The project is structured with a base component and six (6) options. Key tasks include:
- Removal of existing steel ramp, ramp abutment, timber piles, steel pipe piles, and concrete piles.
- Demolition and removal of concrete piles and pile caps from the existing railroad trestle.
- Excavation, dredging, and disposal of materials.
- Installation of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) steel floats and a new landing barge.
- Providing new steel pipe piles, steel-framed pile clusters, and donut fenders.
- Installation of new utilities, including electrical power, lighting, lightning protection, potable water, fire water, telecom, and compressed air.
- Construction of a new steel connector bridge, an electrical substation (with equipment foundation), and the associated abutment and landside approach.
- All earthwork activities for the connector bridge. The base project must be completed sequentially, with Phase 1 preceding Phase 2, to ensure continued operation of the Ensley Engineer Yard. Options, if awarded, will be completed in the sequence directed by the Government.
