Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force is soliciting proposals for a Virtual Weapons Simulator for the 23d Security Forces Squadron (23 SFS) at Moody Air Force Base, GA. This system is crucial for meeting training requirements outlined in DAFI 36-2646, enhancing marksmanship, and supporting Congressionally mandated Shoot/No-Shoot training. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Proposals are due February 27, 2026.
Scope of Work

The system must support tactical weapons employment for all unit-assigned weapons and serve as a refresher capability.
Key Requirements / Deliverables
The virtual weapons simulator must integrate both hardware and software components, including:
- Mixed-reality combat simulation environment with AI-enabled after-action review tools and intelligent adversary behavior modeling.
- Head-mounted displays, weapon sensors, and recoil-enabled weapon simulators (including KWA LM4, M4A1, and M18 sidearm support).
- Wi-Fi-enabled command terminal laptop and full warranty coverage.
- Haptic feedback suits to provide tactile feedback during simulated engagements.
- Support simultaneous training for a four-person fire team within a shared physical space, enabling free-roaming tactical movement and digital mapping of the physical training area.
