Scope of Work
This requirement supports Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) Port Operations. The comprehensive overhaul of Work Boat Large #1 (46WB1501) includes:
- Towing services, docking, and undocking.
- Cleaning, ultrasonic testing, visual inspection, and preservation of the underwater hull.
- Replacement of zinc anodes, repair of pusher knees and hull D-rubber.
- Painting and preservation of the main deck and above.
- Replacement of roller chocks, manual winches, and winch brakes.
- Shading/tinting of pilot house windows, cabin preservation/repairs.
- Removal and installation of new batteries.
- Repair and preservation of hatches, doors, and ladders.
- Removal and replacement of engine exhaust piping, and repair of the pilothouse roof.
- Required testing, including dock trials and river/sea trials. Work must adhere to high-quality workmanship standards and comply with all applicable national, prefecture, and local regulations.
Eligibility & Requirements
This solicitation has no specific set-aside designation but is restricted to sources duly authorized to operate and do business in Japan as prescribed by DFARS 252.225-7042. Firms must possess an active U.S. Navy MSRA/ABR Agreement as a "Prime Contractor" to be eligible for award. Access to the detailed work specification package (Attachment I) is available through DoD SAFE and requires a request to the government.

Submission & Evaluation
