The lightning protection system will be updated, and existing exhaust fan and condensing unit support curbs will be replaced. Spanish tile is required for Building 46, and new tapered insulation will be added to lower TPO roofs.
  • Building 34: Removal of existing shingles and installation of approximately 12,000 sq/ft of new asphalt shingles. Replacement of plumbing vent boots and installation of new vent caps. A new lightning protection system is required for Building 34, which has wood trusses at 24" centers with a 5 to 12 pitch and one layer of roofing.
  • General Requirements: Replacement of all gutters, flashings, and downspouts with new copper finish. All materials must be new, defect-free, and asbestos-free. The contractor is responsible for disposal, daily clean-up, safety compliance (NFPA, OSHA), and obtaining necessary permits. A one-year warranty is required. Parapet walls, coping, and counterflashing may need to be raised to maintain minimum termination heights, which is included in the base contract scope. Flood testing is the preferred water testing method. The contractor is responsible for engaging and paying for third-party UL inspection and certification of the lightning protection system. Traffic control and flagging services are also the contractor's responsibility.
