Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide a CO2 Laser Cutter & Engraver meeting detailed specifications. Key requirements include:
- Work Area: Minimum 4’ x 8’ cutting area with ±0.001 inches positioning accuracy and 2" Z-Axis travel.
- Laser System: 1500 Watts / 20 Amps gross power input (110V-220V), requiring a technical datasheet for the laser tube.
- Laser Heads: Both organic materials cutting head and a metal cutting head with auto-height contour following.
- Cutting Capabilities: Must cut at least 1" thick wood, 16-gauge carbon/mild steel, and 14-gauge stainless steel. Offerors should list other materials the system can cut.
- Software & Connectivity: Compatible with Lightburn™ or equivalent, supporting Windows, Mac OS, or Linux, with USB, LAN/Ethernet, or Wi-Fi connectivity and 64G-128G job memory.
- Support: Minimum 2-year warranty, 1-day onsite training/installation, and lifetime customer service. Onsite training is a firm requirement; remote alternatives are not accepted.
- Delivery: FOB Destination Rome, NY 13441, with an anticipated delivery of 5-7 weeks After Receipt of Order (ARO). Used, pre-owned, refurbished, or remanufactured goods will not be accepted.

Evaluation
The Government intends to evaluate quotes using a best value trade-off process, considering:
- Technical capability of the item offered to meet Government requirements.
- Price. Preference will be given to offerors whose proposed system's laser tube has a greater expected lifespan and/or whose cutting capabilities exceed those outlined in the specifications. Offerors must provide sufficient technical documentation for evaluation. Items with a unit price ≥ $5,000 will require Unique Item Identifier (UII/UID) labels. The Buy American and Balance of Payments Program clause (DFARS 252.225-7001) applies, favoring domestically manufactured supplies.
