Scope of Work
The project entails the design, demolition, and full renovation of six officer (O1-O3 and W1-W3) family housing units located in Building 1255 within the North Side Housing Area at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni (MCASI), Japan. Work also includes civil site and utility demolition and construction for facilities connecting to the building.
Key scope items include:
- Sustainment: Exterior painting; repair/painting/tiling of interior walls/ceilings; repair of cracked/broken concrete sub-base. Replacement of deteriorated roofing/flashing, metal roof, drains, gutters, window/door screens, interior doors/hardware, closet shelving, kitchen/bathroom cabinets/fixtures/hardware, range hoods, garbage disposals, all vinyl composition tile/sheet vinyl materials. Replacement of all sewage/domestic drain/cold/hot water/heating/cooling piping and associated hardware (gauges, valves, monitoring equipment). Replacement of all lighting fixtures, switches, electrical outlets, and wiring to meet NEC, as well as TV, telephone, and internet access receptacles/wiring; exterior lighting fixtures/switches.
