Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide accredited calibration services for gages and Test, Measuring and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) to support the production and manufacturing of ammunition products at Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA).

• Calibration of approximately 3500 gages annually (3000-3300 on a yearly basis, 150 bi-annually).

• Calibration must be performed by an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.

• Services include Dimensional, Electrical, Mechanical, Mass, Force, and Weighing Gages, and TMDE.

• Calibration to NIST Standards per ISO 17025.

• Pick-up and delivery of items weekly, preferably on Thursdays.

• "In-place" calibration once a month, preferably the third Thursday.

• Provide accredited, endorsed calibration certificates for each item calibrated, traceable to NIST.

• Provide smudge-proof, protected calibration stickers/labels.

• Respond to unforeseen, urgent requirements within 24-48 hours.

• Contractor must obtain a 1-year DBIDS (Base Access Card) at their expense.

• Contractor must provide shipping containers (plastic with lids); cardboard boxes are not approved.

• Contractor personnel must complete AT Level I awareness training within 30 days of contract start.

• Contractor personnel must comply with installation access and security procedures, including background checks.

• Contractor personnel must wear appropriate PPE for explosive areas.

• Electronic smart devices and flame-producing devices are prohibited in certain buildings.

• A single point of contact (Service Manager) is required.

• Communication during normal work week must be within 24 hours; after Thursday, response is the following Monday.

• Contractor must notify the Contracting Officer of any repair or repair parts needed for approval.

• Contractor must notify the Activity's Calibration Coordinator of any late pickup/delivery or on-site calibration service.
