Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details the requirements for the contractor to Engineer, Furnish, Install, and Test (EFI&T) (48) CAT6A network drops and (2) 24-strand Multi-Mode (MM) fiber optic cables within Building 15177.

Cat6A Drop Installation Tasks:

• Install a 48-port modular patch panel in Comm Room 006, Rack C.
• Install 40 CAT6A data cables and jacks from Comm Room 006 to Room 002.
• Install a 48-port modular patch panel in Room 002 as a consolidation point.
• Install 8 CAT6A data cables and jacks from Comm Room 006 to Room 005.
• Install specific wall penetrations and sleeves (4-inch and 2-inch) in various rooms and hallways as per drawing T-101.
• Install approximately 65 feet of J-hooks with retaining clips.
• Ensure all new work area outlets have a j-hook and at least 12 inches of slack.
• Fire stop all sleeves and slots after cable installation.

Fiber Optic Tasks:

• Install two 24-strand Aqua MM fiber optic cables from Comm Room 006, Rack A (FODP 1) to Comm Room 202 and Comm Room 120.

• Provide and install LC cassettes and terminate the MM cables.

• Utilize existing pathways for fiber installation.

• Terminate fiber on new wall-mounted Fiber Optic Distribution Panels (FODPs) in Comm Room 120 and Rack O in Comm Room 202.

• Perform 100% verification acceptance testing for multi-mode optical fibers, including end-to-end and bi-directional attenuation tests using specified standards and Tier One Testing methods.

• All testing must be performed IAW OFSTP-14, OFSTP-7, TIA-568-C.3, and TIA-526-7.

• Test equipment must have a calibration date within one year of the test date.

• A test report for multi-mode optical fibers is required.

• The contractor shall restore the site to its original condition post-installation.

• ISP/OSP copper/fiber test reports.

• As-Built drawings in .PDF format.

• Witness Test: Government will witness testing of a 10% sample of installed drops/strands. If any fail, testing expands to 100%.

• Final QC: Government will conduct a QC inspection. Contractor must correct all noted discrepancies within five (5) duty days.
