Purpose & Scope
The primary objective is to support the nation's need for an agile, highly capable, and technically proficient talent pool by implementing K-12 and university-focused science and technology education and outreach initiatives. The selected contractor will provide comprehensive administration and programmatic support services to broaden the scientific and technical talent pool. This includes developing and implementing cohesive outreach strategies, managing application materials, verifying eligibility, assessing applications, and communicating results for various programs like the DoD HBCU/MI Summer Research Internship Program.
Key responsibilities involve managing stipends, travel, and academic expenses; developing and maintaining a comprehensive database management system; providing regular and ad hoc reports on demographics and program effectiveness; and planning, coordinating, and executing program-related events, workshops, and seminars. Specific deliverables include Quarterly Financial Status Reports, Monthly Stipend Status Reports, Applicant Analysis Reports, and Selectee Analysis Reports.
