This project entails the replacement of existing lock-sets on living area doors with new swipe lock systems across 31 BEQ buildings at Camp Lejeune. Key requirements include:

  • Installation of Ving Card Signature RFID electronic lock systems, with the basis of design being the Dormakaba RFID lock system.
  • Locks must meet ANSI/BHMA A156.2 (Series 4000, Grade 1) and A156.3 (Grade 1) standards, with high-security cylinders compliant with ANSI/BHMA A156.30.
  • Systems must support interrogation of at least 600 events.
  • Provision of a front desk system (computer, monitor, Ving Vision software, RFID encoder), spare locksets, service terminals, and RFID contact cards.
  • Supply of 1500 1K RFID resident cards and 100 4K staff cards.
  • Implementation of a master keying system per floor, including master, grand master, and sub-master keys, and a key cabinet for BEQ PP2.
  • Contractor responsibility for door and frame modifications due to varied existing locks.
  • Contractor responsible for full operation and upgrades of network infrastructure for lock operation; laptops for each building will operate as standalone systems.
  • The facility will remain occupied, requiring minimal interference with normal operations and daily securing of installation areas.
  • Contractor must provide training for the new lock system and a one-year warranty with 24-hour phone support.
  • One person may fill the roles of Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Safety & Health Officer if qualified.
