Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide services for the removal of existing parking lot and pier lighting and the installation of new solar LED lighting at the U.S. Coast Guard Shore Side Detachment Demopolis.

• Removal of 12 existing LED parking lot and pier lights.

• Removal of unnecessary electrical wiring and components.

• Installation of 9 new solar LED streetlights and 3 new solar LED floodlights.

• Installation of necessary electrical components, mounting equipment, and hardware.

• Repair of remaining openings on light poles.

• Contractor to provide all necessary trim, hardware, caulk, and sealing materials.

• Contractor to perform function tests on new lights.

• Furnish labor, materials, and equipment for the replacement.

• New lights must meet minimum specifications to adequately illuminate the required area and meet or exceed the specifications of the lights being removed.

• Work must be completed within Thirty (30) calendar days after notice to proceed.

• A work schedule including all milestones must be submitted within seven (7) calendar days following contract award.

• Removal and application procedures for all building surfaces must be submitted.

• A written safety plan must be submitted within seven (7) calendar days following contract award.

• Period of Performance: Thirty (30) calendar days after notice to proceed.

• Location: U.S. Coast Guard Shore Side Detachment, 1900 Coast Guard Road, Demopolis, AL 36732.

• Mandatory site visit prior to submitting a quote.

• Adherence to all Federal, State, and local laws, including environmental protection and waste disposal regulations.

• Compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers "Safety and Health Requirements Manual" (EM 385-1-1) and FAR 52.236-13 "Accident Prevention".

• Contractor is responsible for site safety and implementing a safety program.

• Personnel must have proper, laminated, photo identification.

• Contractor must coordinate with the Point of Contact (POC) to minimize interference with Coast Guard operations.

• Contractor use of premises must comply with installation regulations.

• Contractor is responsible for restoration of the laydown area to its original condition.

• Contractor must take precautions for extreme weather.

• Equipment and materials must be handled, stored, and protected properly.

• Contractor must be on hand to accept shipments; Government will not accept shipments.

• Contractor must keep the work area free from waste materials.

• Utility outages require at least two (2) working days' notice to the POC.

• All warranties and guarantees for equipment shall be endorsed to the Government.

• A written request to schedule final inspection must be submitted, allowing a minimum of two (2) weeks notice.
