Scope of Work
The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment for the Stringout Replacement at EEY and incidental related work. The project is divided into a base project and six (6) options. Key tasks include:
- Removal of existing steel ramp, ramp abutment, timber piles, steel pipe piles, and concrete piles.
- Demolition and removal of concrete piles and pile caps from the existing railroad trestle.
- Excavation, dredging, and disposal of materials.
- Installation of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) steel floats and a new landing barge.
- Providing new steel pipe piles and steel-framed pile clusters, and donut fenders.
- Providing new utilities (electrical power, lighting, lightning protection, potable water, fire water, telecom, compressed air).
- Construction of a new steel connector bridge, an electrical substation (including equipment foundation), and abutment and landside approach to the connector bridge.
- All earthwork activities for the connector bridge and incidental related work.
The base project work must be completed sequentially from Phase 1 to Phase 2 to ensure continued operation of the Ensley Engineer Yard, with Phase 1 preceding Phase 2. Options, if awarded, will be completed in the sequence directed by the Government.
